First 6 months of New Operation
It has been 6 months since we purchased the Gallery from Ron Schneider and relocated to Corona St. Hi, I'm Carolina's Atlanta partner, Mike Janvrin. I'll be in Puerto Vallarta in February to see the Gallery at its new location for the very first time. The pictures that Roberto, Carolina's son, has provided, together with many favorable customer remarks, have made Galeria de Ollas come alive in my mind. So many things have happened in a short time. On Carolina's first trip to Mata Ortiz, she was honored to have a private visit with Juan Quezada - see her picture with him on the website. Another happening in support of our Gallery is the new and expanded website: www.galeriadeollas.com. Several customers have offered ideas that will improve the effectiveness of the site. We will have more views of the pots, develop a marketing program, and feature more artists and events in Puerto Vallarta. You might see one such event we have featured: the ArtWalk. Just click the ArtWalk insignia on our site and it will show you the many Galleries that support this wonderful local event.
During our first few months, we have had many secure transactions. There have been successful shipping experiences to the United States and Canada. Soon we will ship our first Ollas to Europe. It is wonderful to see the interest in Mata Ortiz art around the world. We at Galeria de Ollas are happy to play a small part in exposing these works to different parts of our world.
